And the weight keeps rolling off.

And the weight keeps rolling off.

I have heard a lot of comments from people saying things like "oh, It's just a diet. You will gain it back." or "I'm happy being the shape I am."

When I hear these things I think "uninformed" and "Denial" :)

For me it has been 30 days since I had a Dr. Pepper. Notice I did not list soda or as they say out here "pop" as a drink. That is because ever since I was old enough to choose my own beverage, my choice has been Dr. Pepper. I used to have soda cravings. I would plan my driving route to and from work so that I could stop at Speedway and get a Dr. Pepper. And not just any Dr. Pepper. It had to be the biggest cup they had. I even bought one of those 64oz monster cups.
I would drink that everyday!
When I would get sick and tired of my chubbiness. I would plan a calorie restrictive food plan (diet) and take into account the calories from my Dr. Pepper stops. So I was starving myself while loading my body with 1/2 a cup of sugar every day.

Not everyone will be able to relate to the soda thing. Some will. For others chips, ice cream or chocolate will be their weakness. For others the lure of a thickburger, dripping with ketchup and mayo, will be their Achilles' heel.

Then their was the chocolate. OH MY CHEESE AND CRACKERS! Give me the chocolate and no one will get hurt! What the hell is taking you so damn long to ring up a mac daddy Hershey bar?!

So you now understand that Dr. Pepper and Chocolate are really huge stumbling blocks in my quest for health.

This bears repeating. I have not had a soda in 30 DAYS! It has been 3 Weeks since I had a Chocolate bar. The Cravings are GONE!

No one wants to sit down and use their belly as a food tray or drink rest. No one wants to have their pants pinch and bulge in unflattering ways. No one wants to get winded walking up half a flight of stairs. When I hear people say "I am comfortable with the way I look" What I really hear is "I dont want to give up my favorite junk."

I don't pay $1.49+tax for a sugary drink or $0.99+tax or more for an unhealthy snack. If you took part in the eating out cost challenge then you already know that you pay more per day/week for junk that is KILLING YOU! Than I do for a per day/week glass of chocolaty healthy bliss.

THE CRAVINGS ARE GONE! When I do eat out. I make healthy choices and if what will keep me healthy isn't available to me I have the physical and mental stamina to wait until it is. Why? Because my body is getting what it needs. This missing nutrition gaps have been filled. My brain does not send out a flood of hormones telling my body to eat, eat, EAT! Because my brain is no longer starving.

Think of yourself as Swiss Cheese. The holes are the nutrition gaps that need to be filled by eating. If your not filling all the holes then you are craving something. But what are you craving? Not junk thats for sure. But what is being advertised on the radio or t.v.? Junk! So like a robot that has been programmed. You go to eat the junk AND you willingly shill out 20% of your salary to obtain it. (20% is an estimate based on current salary trends and cost of eating out for a month.)

When you pay the current prices for a soda and we all know the junk food isn't cheap either. You are PAYING the corporate giants to make you FAT and UNHEALTHY!

Wow. Excuse me so sorry I offered you a less expensive and healthy alternative. Well no, not really. But some of you act like "what the hell is she talking about? Expecting me to pay $4.00 a glass per day of a 30 day supply of chocolate Shakeology?" Whilst clutching a bag of Dorito's and Gulping down a sugar laden drink. You do know that you paid more for that junk than I paid for my healthy glass of chocolate shakeology? And you think I'm nuts?! Again I say WOW!

I'm Ten pounds lighter. I feel better. Mood swings are gone, Cravings are gone, Sluggishness is gone. I dont have to think about food. I make healthy choices, I drink my shakeology. I exercise. I loose weight and get healthy. Some of you take a multivitamin every day. What for? To fill in the missing nutrition. I do the same thing only I get to drink mine and it tastes like Chocolate covered strawberries, Chocolate covered blueberries or a Reeses peanut butter cup. Depending on what I add to it.
